Reflection 4 December
Where do I start? I have struggled with making regular posts. Not only did the computer challenge me with issues, also I did not make it a habit to go on to my blog. It was great to get 4 netbooks in my room in Term 4. This added to the 2 extra desktops giving Room 13 a total of 8 computers to use. It has been great to give the children work to do on the computers, either as an individual or in pairs. This has allowed us to make more regular blog posts also. The children have enjoyed coming to school early and using the netbooks/ computers to play interactive topic games.
I am looking forward to making more use of the interactive whiteboard, computers and netbooks in my room next year. It will be valuable to set up group stations, rotations and specific follow up activities.

Interwrite comment
I enjoyed our interwrite session. It was great to learn how to cut and paste photos. I also found it useful to be able to use word documents on interwrite. I managed to get all the checklist marked off.
Try this site it is great for more able spellers. TAKE ON THE TEACHER

Term 1 reflection
Hasn't the term flown? Only just over a week to go. I have really enjoyed learning from the class techsperx about flagging, glitter lettering and verifying. I am pleased to have our document saving hiccups all sorted. I am enjoying learning about the interactive whiteboard and 'playing and exploring' how we can use it in the classroom.

Learning @ Schools
Busy 2 days! Nice food. Really enjoyed Kevin Honeycutt he was entertaining and thought provoking. His metaphor on the internet being like letting your kids loose in the playground without any one on duty really stuck. Not only for kids at school but also for my own children. Another thought that stuck was - how a life can be changed with one push of a button - your work is published for the world to see ..... forever. I also enjoyed first key note speaker Frank Green he was very interesting explaining how some schools are being run in England. Seems to be alot like the old (showing my age!)open plan classroom design. The taster on Wired for sound also reflected team teaching and variable/open plan teaching.
