Learning @ Schools

Busy 2 days! Nice food. Really enjoyed Kevin Honeycutt he was entertaining and thought provoking. His metaphor on the internet being like letting your kids loose in the playground without any one on duty really stuck. Not only for kids at school but also for my own children. Another thought that stuck was - how a life can be changed with one push of a button - your work is published for the world to see ..... forever. I also enjoyed first key note speaker Frank Green he was very interesting explaining how some schools are being run in England. Seems to be alot like the old (showing my age!)open plan classroom design. The taster on Wired for sound also reflected team teaching and variable/open plan teaching.

  1. Hi Julie

I also really enjoyed this two day conference. I so enjoyed listening to Kevin Honeycutt because he was motivating and such a great speaker.
His message about letting children choose their own way to publish their work and which tool to use was a good reminder for me.

Yes.. a life can be changed in one click of a button. Children need to realise that what they put on their blogs is published to the world!
Enjoy your ICT journey this year.
